合金结构钢是在碳素结构基础上，加入5%以下的一种或几种元素。钢中加入合金元素，首先是提高了钢的淬透性，保证钢经过热处理后获得良好的综合机械性能，具有高的强度和足够的韧性。
1、根据热处理工艺的不同大体分为：
（1） 调质结构钢：许多重要零件如轴类、连杆、重要螺栓等，多是在承受很大的交变应力和冲击负荷等多种复合应力下工作，因此要求有较高的强度和韧性的综合机械性 能。为了达到上述要求，钢件必须经过淬火及高温回火处理（即调质处理），淬火处理得马氏体组织，然后高温回火得到索氏体组织。调质钢的含碳量在 0.3－0.5%之间，碳量低不易淬硬，回火后得不到所需强度；碳量高则韧性低，在使用中发生脆性断裂。
（2）表面硬化钢：制成的零件通过某种热 片处理可以得到坚硬耐磨的表面层和柔韧适当的心部。如齿轮为了传递扭矩，必须有足够强度，在换挡过程中又承受冲击负荷，又要求有韧性，在啮合过程中，齿轮 又承受强烈的磨损而就有耐磨性因此，齿轮应具有整体强度高和“表硬内韧”的性能。
2、按热处理工艺，主要有：
（1）受用低碳钢渗碳淬火： 含碳量一般在0.10－0.25%之间，以保证零件心部有良好的韧性。作渗碳用的合结钢加入＜2%‘铬、＜4.5%镍、2% 锰、0.001－0.004%硼，可以提高钢的淬透性，改善零件心部组织和性能外，还能提高渗碳层的强度和塑性；有时还加入微量的钛、钒等元素，起细化晶 粒，防止渗碳时发生过热的影响。
（2）采用渗氮处理：合结钢中含有铝的钢如38CrMoAL属渗氮钢。铝可和氮化合形成氮化铝，增加表面硬度和耐磨。
（3） 采用碳钢高频感应加热表层淬火：合金结构钢按治金质量分为优质钢和高级优质钢（钢号后加“A”）；用途分为压力加工（热压力加工或冷压力加工）和切削加工 用钢；按供应状态分为不热处理、正火、退火或高温回火。Welcome to BW tool world! We are an experienced tool maker specialized in cutting tools.
