一.荒磨砂轮
荒磨砂轮主要用于钢铁工业中，对钢锭、钢坯、钢板的修磨以及各种铸造件的表面清理等。从产量上看，它居于各种树脂磨具的首位。
二.高速增强切割片砂轮
高速切割片使用速度为70~80m/s，切割效率高，有切割小型金属材料发展到切割大规格型钢和钢板，砂轮规格越来越多，产量也越来越大，仅次于荒磨砂轮。
三.高速磨片（钹型砂轮）
广泛应用于冶金、化工船舶制造和其他机械加工等行业的打磨焊缝、清理铸件毛刺和金属表面等工序。产品的规格很多，使用速度为60~80m/s。
四.螺栓禁固砂轮
普遍用于汽车、拖拉机和轴承等磨削加工行业中。采用平面磨削工艺。
另外还有石墨镜面砂轮、电解砂轮、PVA砂轮、环氧珩磨轮等树脂砂轮也广泛应用于各行各业中，不同程度地替代了陶瓷和橡胶砂轮。
