【技術の名称】

２－２－７　磁歪式切削トルク検出センサ（２－１、６－１－１）

【技術内容】

切削加工プロセスの監視技術および高速、高能率加工用適応制御技術に必要とされる切削トルクセンサにおいて、本センサは磁歪を利用したセンサである。

磁歪式切削トルク検出センサの基本構造を図１に示す。同図に示されるように、強磁性体薄膜を切削工具のシャンク表面にプラズマ溶射し て、磁気形状異方性を与えるように帯状形状に形成する。切削抵抗力は、トルク、スラスト、ラジアル力の合力として認識されるが、このような構造とすること により、切削抵抗力検出に関して、スラスト、ラジアル力の影響を受けずにトルクのみを非接触で検出することが可能となる。

２枚刃エンドミルで連続切削中のチッピング発生前後の磁歪式トルクセンサによる切削トルク測定結果を図２に示す。チッピング前にも、２枚の切れ刃間に芯ぶれ等により発生したと推察されるトルク差が認められる。チッピング後には、そのトルク差は増大している。

本磁歪式トルク検出センサにより切れ刃ごとの切削トルクを監視でき、チッピングおよび欠損の認識が可能である。
